The Rotary Club of Galveston Island’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament is our major fundraising event. This year's tournament was held on Monday, May 11, 2026 at the lovely Galveston Country Club.  Each year, the tournament hosts a putting and chipping contest, a closest-to-the-pin competition, a long drive contest, and much more.

 

The annual Rotary golf tournament is a major community tradition because it serves as a primary signature fundraiser, raising vital financial support for local charities, student scholarships, and international humanitarian projects.

 

The tournament is held each year in May. The event will open for sponsorships and team sign ups as early as February 2027. For more information prior, please email us directly. We look forward to hosting you in May!

 

 

As a reminder to our Club membership, remember that each member of the Rotary Club of Galveston Island is required, as part of your Club membership, to secure at least two hole sponsors ($200 each) for the golf tournament. Those members who do not secure at least two hole sponsors before the sign-up cutoff date will be billed for the unsecured sponsorships. All members are encouraged to get as many hole sponsors as possible. Also, members are encouraged to secure sponsors, as these sponsorship funds directly support the charitable giving that our Club does in Galveston and surrounding areas.
